Anne Marie Lund Thorvik

Anne Marie Lund Thorvik was educated as a teacher in Norway, and has also a degree from Norwegian University of Sports. She has practiced 12 years as a teacher and manager within the school system. From 1986 she joined the private sector as HR Manager in ISS, a worldwide services company within cleaning, catering, security and Facility Management. Her positions were Training Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager and then Vice President Human Resources. Thereafter she was Vice President Human Resources and Organisational Development in Elf Petroleum Norway, a former Major French oil and gas company with worldwide operations.

Anne Marie started with outplacement and recruitment in 1994, and worked as a headhunter for MPS, Hartmark Consulting AS and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Norway. In 1998 she became director and head of Human Resources Management in PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting DA, Oslo. She has run her own recruitment and coaching business since 1999, working globally out of Geneva, Brussels and Oslo. She has also done work for Korn Ferry and John McCarthy Associates in Switzerland from 2000 to 2003.  Anne Marie has been an independent consultant within Executive Search, Management Development and Career Counseling in most sectors and industries.  
Anne Marie has had a long career in cross country skiing as a competitor, as a team manager and as a coach, including Vice President of the Norwegian Ski Federation and participation widely in international bodies for ski sports. She has been coach for a large number of highly successful Norwegian skiers. As an experienced leader for Norwegian sports teams abroad, she was “Chef de Mission” in the Olympic Games in Albertville 1992 and in the World Championships in 1991 and 1993. She was Vice President and Board member in the Norwegian Ski Association in the period 1989 to 1995. She is now Managing Partner in Thorvik International Consulting AS.
